The textile and apparel industry in Zhoukou, Henan province, ranks first in scale in the province and is one of the key construction projects in the trillion-yuan industrial clusters. There are 290 above-designated textile and apparel enterprises, with an annual production of 870kt of yarn, 900 million meters of woven fabrics, and 81kt of knitted fabrics. The annual processing of various types of apparels reaches 900 million pieces.
In recent years, focusing on strengthening the supply chain, extending the value chain, and enhancing competitiveness, the textile and apparel industry in Zhoukou, Henan province has initially formed a complete industry chain integrating "R&D-spinning-weaving-dyeing and finishing-fabrics-apparels." In the next step, Zhoukou City will focus on filling gaps in printing and dyeing, creating independent brands, and improving product quality, and will carry out the "three-product" strategy of increasing varieties, improving quality, and creating brands, actively implementing the "three major transformations," and implementing a three-year action plan for the key industrial chains in the textile and apparel industry, striving to surpass a scale of 100 billion yuan by 2025.
