India making final anti-dumping ruling on polyester yarn originating from China

On August 19, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that it has made anti-dumping affirmation against polyester yarn (polyester spun yarn) or polyester staple fiber yarn originating from or imported from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. It is recommended to impose a five-year anti-dumping duty on the products involved in the case in the above-mentioned countries. The tax amount for the products involved in China is US$4-124/mt, for Indonesia is US$65-191/mt, and for Vietnam is US$281/mt; at the same time, a negative final anti-dumping ruling was made for the products involved in Nepal. The products involved do not include dyed polyester yarn, mixed color polyester yarn or colored polyester yarn and polyester yarn with yarn counts more than 8S counts or finer than 45S counts. This case involves products under the Indian customs code 55092100.

 

On May 21, 2020, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued an announcement stating that an anti-dumping investigation was initiated against polyester yarn (or polyester staple fiber yarn) originating in or imported from China, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam.
